#1 Season of Rain- Josh Garrels

A beautiful song. Josh Garrels is a folk musician from Portland, Oregon. This song has some great lyrics, but also some interesting beats and dynamics. Enjoy!

#2 Blind Faith- Chase & Status

I know I need these sweet sensations! Chase & Status knows how to create them. They are an electronic music group from London that started up in 2003. See what you think.

#3 Cloudy- Cool Calm Pete

A Korean-American hip hop artist, Cool Calm Pete is both calm and cool. Listen and see what I mean. The song is slow, but captivating.

#4 Special Needs- Placebo

A rock band from London, these guys have some great songs. While they might have a darker theme going on, they know how to make a catchy song. This video is also one of my favorites ever. Hope you enjoy it.

#5 Falling Awake- Gary Jules

Gary Jules is a Singer/Songwriter from California. He’s been at the game a long time and it shows. See what you think of this song.

#1 Goodness Gracious- Person L

The first time I heard this song, it got me nodding my head. The second time I went crazy and danced around the room. It can give you energy you didn’t know you had. Person L is a rock band from Pennsylvania and who doesn’t like good old american rock. Well… I guess it’s good new american rock in their case because they formed in 2006.

#2 That Home- Cinematic Orchestra

This song may be long, but I find myself listening to it on repeat. It is relaxing one moment, but invigorating the next. They are a British band. The voice of Patrick Watson, a Canadian singer/songwriter can be heard in this song, which makes it all the more beautiful.

#3 Sunshine- Atmosphere

There’s something about this Minneapolis based hip hop group that makes listening to them a great experience. It might be the lyrics, the simplicity or some other quality I cannot figure out. Whatever the case, these guys are a great listen.

#4 Dont Gotta Work it Out- Fitz and the Tantrums

Interesting video for an interesting band. Fitz and the Tantrums are a band from Los Angeles that formed in 2008. This song was overshadowed by “Moneygrabber” on their 2010 album “Pickin Up the Pieces,” but it is well worth a listen to their unique pop/soul sound.

# 5 Nothing Else Matters- Apocalyptica

Hardly your run of the mill band, Apocalyptica consists of three cellists and a drummer. They add some Finnish influence to the mix.
